Last week we took our annual trip to Orcas Island. Since we had a reservation for a later ferry, we decided to take a side trip to Deception Pass State Park. Why haven't we done this before?! Deception Pass is less than 10 miles from Anacortes. So if you have a later ferry and looking for something to do - go to Deception Pass!

There's no wi-fi at our place on Orcas Island. So instead of being tied to a device (which I admit I catch myself doing far too often throughout the day) we spend a lot of our time outside, especially on the beach.

We took a day trip to San Juan Island for lunch and some shopping.
Inter-island hopping is free for walk-ons.
