Adios, courtyard surrounded by jasmine and rosemary, rooftop terrace, and living steps away from Plaza Nueva. Hola to swimming pool, a wild garden of fruit trees and cactus and a short hike to the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas.
Yesterday, I met my new host. Alex is from Germany and moved to Spain about seven years ago. He has also lived in Kenya for a year working with Doctors Without Borders. He said while he was there he met lots of people from the Peace Corps. Now, he works in Granada as a dentist. He has two boxers, Oezil and Nube and many chickens. Last night he picked me up at Plaza Nueva and drove me to his house in Padul - about 12 km from Granada. We made spaetzle with eggs from his chickens and the sauce made with zucchini, red peppers and tomatos from his garden.
And this chica is happy she could sleep in this morning - almost until 11! Made some coffee and enjoyed it outside with my feet in the pool - the temperature is getting close to 90 degrees - then I played with the dogs.
Now I am in the living room, listening to fusion music on shoutcastradio.com - which Alex just told me about. Me gusta!
Ciao for now.
